Our story

Arabic that feels real.

I'm Toqa, the founder of Arabic with Toqa. I built this platform to help people learn Arabic in a way that goes beyond textbooks, memorization, and isolated vocabulary.

Real Arabic. Real conversations. Real confidence.

Hi, I'm Toqa — the founder of Arabic with Toqa. I'm based in the UAE and originally from Syria.

My journey into Arabic teaching wasn't exactly traditional. I started out as a medical student, but over time I realized that my real passion was languages, communication, and helping people connect through them.

I eventually left medical school to follow that passion. I'm certified by the King Salman Global Academy for Arabic Language in training teachers of Arabic to non-native speakers.

I believe Arabic should be learned as a living language — through context, stories, conversation, and meaningful interaction.

I started Arabic with Toqa after seeing how often Arabic is taught to non-native learners through rules, memorization, and isolated vocabulary — while leaving learners with surprisingly little opportunity to actually use the language.

I wanted to build something different.

Today, I don't teach students directly. Instead, I focus on carefully selecting and training our teachers, developing our curriculum, and overseeing the quality of our lessons.

Every teacher on our team is fluent in English and specifically trained to teach Arabic to non-native speakers. That means our students aren't simply learning Arabic — they're learning how to actually use it.

And the community has grown far beyond what I originally imagined. We've now had more than 2,000 lessons booked, while our YouTube channel has grown to more than 54,000 subscribers.
